Evidently, the previous owner bought this house with the intention of flipping it. As is commonly the case, money ran out long before remodeling was very far along. We picked it up as a shell with no siding and a gutted interior. A concrete footing runs along the front of the house nine feet from the front wall. We are installing a support beam, extending the roof and moving the front wall forward, adding about 450 additional square feet of living space. This will allow for a spacious mainfloor livingroom and three good-sized bedrooms upstairs. When completed, what was once a neighborhood blight will become a like-new, (inside and out) much appreciated asset to the neighborhood.
